As the Cefor analyses are based on the fleet and casualty data compiled in the Nordic Marine Insurance Statistics (NoMIS) database, typical examples could comprise casualty trends related to

• the world fleet in general or specific vessel subgroups
• new technology and how that may influence casualties. 
• specific types of casualties

We endeavour to improve loss prevention in collaboration with other stakeholders in the maritime industry and are happy to contribute with data-based analyses whenever possible. 

Good to know: 

The data in the NoMIS database comprises vessel data and casualties representing physical damage to the vessel. The NoMIS database does not comprise damage to humans or the environment. 

As all data must be anonymised and aggregated before sharing, Cefor cannot share vessel or casualty data per individual vessel.
