Nordic Plan Seminar Mariehamn 16 October 201201.06.18, Clauses
The Finnish Shipowners' Association, Cefor and the Scandinavian Institute of Maritime Law introduces the new Nordic Marine Insurance Plan of 2013 at a seminar in Mariehamn, Åland 16 October 2012.
The Nordic Plan is based on the Norwegian Marine Insurance Plan of 1996, Version 2010, and will come into force on 1 January 2013.
With its tried and tested solutions, agreed by all parties through a Standing Revision Committee (SRC), and a comprehensive Commentary, there will remain little uncertainty concerning interpretations and gaps in cover. The well-known proactive Nordic claims handling model rests at the core of the Nordic Plan.
The seminar will focus on some key features of the Nordic Plan, introducing also a few substantial changes agreed between the four Nordic shipowners' associations and Cefor. Average Adjuster Hannu Honka will explain some main differences between the Plan and the Finnish conditions. Experts from the Alandia-Group and members of the SRC are also among the speakers and will be available for a Q&A session with the audience.
