• NoMIS - as of 31 December 2017

Major claims on hold Focus: Owner and flag change Major claims exceeding 30 USD million stay absent for another year, but the top 1% account for minimum 30% of the total cost in any year! - Overall claims frequency stabilizes around 23% - Total losses continue long-term positive trend - Reduction in insured values slowing down - Owner or flag change: how does that impact the claims frequency? • 2017 June Cefor Hull trends update

Hull claims trends per 30 June 2017: Few major losses. Claims frequency and cost per vessel stay stable Major claims impact was low both in 2016 and the first half of 2017. The overall claims frequency continues its positive trend. The total loss frequency is slightly up from 2016, but stays within an upper bount of about 0.1%.  Insured values dropped on average 5.7% on 2017 renewals. While the bulker market seems to have recovered in 2017 after two-digit value reductions in 2016, this is not the case for supply/offshore vessels. These had in 2017 value reductions of about 14% for the third consecutive year.  Read the whole report here by clicking on the picture:
